Houston, TX – June 12, 2008 – Gary Montgomery, president of Montgomery & Associates, Inc. a Houston based civil engineering and consulting services firm, is pleased to announce that Martin C. Murdock, P.E. has been promoted to Executive Vice President.

With more than 15 years of engineering experience in the Houston area, Murdock is responsible for directing a team of engineers, designers and technicians in the planning, design and construction of major land developments in Houston and surrounding areas.

“We are pleased to be able to promote Martin to this key position,” said Montgomery. “Through his dedication to our clients and projects over the years, he has proved his professionalism and talent, and he will be an even greater asset to our company in his new role.”

Murdock also has experience in the planning, design and construction of water supply facilities. He has served as district engineer for municipal utility districts including Montgomery County Municipal Utility District Nos. 88 and 89, East Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 4 and Spring Creek Utility District.

Murdock holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Houston Engineers Week Committee.
